I know it’s been a few days since the showcase, but I couldn’t not blog about it.
So it’s Jay Park. The Jay Park. If any of you aren’t familiar with him, you probably may have seen him in one of Ryan Higa’s videos. (considering the fact that a lot of people here are fans of nigahiga) But that’s not it. He’s an American-born Korean artist: singer, songwriter, dancer and rapper. I know what some of you would think. “Ewww kpop” or something like that. People would even question you ‘cause you don’t understand 85% of what they’re saying. (that’s 85% for me, at least) But you know what?
That’s the beauty of it.
I was listening to Van Ness Wu’s song earlier. He’s a Taiwanese artist. I think his song was in Mandarin. I hardly know any Mandarin (except for the ones I learned in Ni Hao Kai-Lan hahaha), but I learned to appreciate it eventually. I guess beauty isn’t thoroughly based on the lyrics. I think it’s actually amazing that you can perceive the message of the song without understanding the lyrics & just basing it on what you hear.
I actually don’t like hiphop that much (which is the main genre of Jay’s album), but once it came around the second time, there was something that got me hooked. Moving on, it was the first day of the New Breed showcase in the Philippines. The first venue was at Eastwood. We went there at around 5 o’ clock during a rainy afternoon. The rain would stop then after a few minutes, it would rain again. I went straight to the venue to see if there were albums (which served as tickets) still available. Luckily, there were! I was planning on getting the basic bundle or whatever you call it which comprised of a cd + dvd + poster. It costed Php 550 which fit my budget perfectly. (I had to use my own money anyway) The the area for that bundle was at the back, standing. I thought it wouldn’t be worth it ‘cause it’s almost just the same thing as standing behind the barriers. The next bundle was Php 750 that had a baller along with it. It was seated, but the seats were at the sides and it was raining…….
I decided not to buy any bundle since the next one was the VIP bundle (cd + dvd + shirt + autograph) and it costed Php 1, 500. The VIP section was in the covered area with seats that started on the 6th row ‘cause rows 1-5 were for sponsors and other special people. I was just there behind the barriers and just looking around waiting for the rain to stop ‘cause the show wouldn’t obviously start with 50% of the people not put into place because their areas weren’t covered.
I looked up and just looked at the sky and random stuff, completely in a daze. Then I suddenly got startled. I saw a man peeking at his window and I knew who it was right away! IT WAS JAY PARK. He was resting his hands against the bottom frame of the window, peaking at the venue. He was probably worried since it was raining. He had his hair completely black (unlike some of his concept photos) which made me think twice whether it was him or not. But I just knew it was him. His body shape and the way he moved….. EVERYTHING. It was amazing on how I spotted him from such a far distance. (LOL I WON’T SAY WHICH FLOOR HE WAS ON THOUGH) It tempted me to break into his room. haha just kidding! Seriously though, what if I knocked and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH okay okay back to the story!!!! Anyway he was wearing a white top, so I waited for him to come down to see whether his hair was black & if his top was white …and guess what? THEY WERE.
We just got our WiFi & landline activated today! 2-3 days without WiFi seemed like forever. Anyway, we just moved in last Sunday, I think. Definitely not used to being far from Katip. I can’t go alone anywhere anymore. :( And I miss my neighbor so bad. She’s a year old & is the cutest thing in the world. We’re thinking of visiting her on Saturday and drop by before going to Ateneo. We don’t know what to get for her though. Her family’s always giving us food & whatnot. :((

I’m breathing the same air Jay Park is breathing! AAAAAAAAH still indecisive about getting his album to get seats to the concert or not. I’d have to use my own money which sucks. My eldest sister & I are still going to Eastwood though! I’m going to be watching him from a great GREAT distance. I might come with my sister to her office then head out to Eastwood to watch a movie and stay there till the concert. I HOPE.
